Big Blue River floating on old limestone

The river which the barricades protect traffic from crossing is moving at a good clip. The Big Blue River has been running over a southern Indiana dam since 1884. A constant flow of water has worn down parts of the dam and water seeps through some of the cracks in the old limestone. The flow, which never seems to stop, is moving at a furious pace. Some rivers in the area are already above flood stage and others. Those changes are easy to see if you are along the river and you can experience the change between four seasons all by yourself.
